An important focus of many government and commercial enterprises is to dramatically improve the skills, knowledge, and experience of individual decision makers.  Today, decision makers at every level are expected to consistently make timely, well reasoned, and effective decisions in dynamic, pressure-laden situations. However, the ubiquity of data and accelerating advancements in information technology, decision aids, and expert systems have tended to complicate rather than improve this capability.

The key to solving the challenge of improved decision making lies in understanding what makes an effective decision maker and how to best advance decision maker proficiency and achieve consistently high levels of decision quality and decision execution proficiency.

KBSI has worked on a number of research initiatives that have focused on developing methods and tools that help decision makers more accurately assess individual decision-making effectiveness.  Our research has also developed technologies that help train decision makers to dramatically and predictably improve their knowledge and decision-making skills.
